Wailea Maui room rates highest in state

According to the Maui news Wailea Maui has the most pricy rooms in the state. The nightly late is around $307.92, which actually I believe is a low figure. So Wailea is out pacing the rest of the islands. A couple reasons sited could be the remodeling of the Marriott Hotel with a large portion of there rooms out of commission. Then there is the old Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort which has been closed and is currently being torn down and a new luxury hotel much like Wailea Beach Villas is being built. So with fewer rooms available it is keeping the prices up.
This has to have a positive effect on the Wailea Maui condo market. Other option would be renting a condo at one of Wailea’s luxury ocean front condos. This in turn will spur Wailea condo sales this winter. We are also experiencing visitors from Canada. With the dollar at an all time low, Maui Wailea is looking like a good deal for foreign buyers. So as far as I can see we should have a busy winter with booked hotels and Wailea Maui real estate performing well.
