Aloha to Aloha Airline,

Change is hard to many having lost there jobs working for Aloha Airlines for so many years. If Maui has been your home for a while you probably know some one who worked for Aloha Airlines. With the direct flights to Maui they probably lost a lot of business inter-island. Then there is the fuel factor. Gas prices going up up and up. Then there is new competition and dealing with low competitive rates.

One thing the people in Spreckeksville won’t mind is that Aloha had the noisiest planes so the neighborhood will be a little quieter. For many Aloha Airlines has a sense of connection with the past. I would say it is a lot like the pineapple fields not replanting. The mom and pop stores that have stepped aside for the Wal-Mart’s and Costco. Change is hard and it means a passing of time that we will look back and always remember the things that meant a lot to us. So we say Aloha to Aloha Airlines.
