Falls in the air on Maui.

Okay we do not have the changing Maple trees like Central Park. I still see the signs of winter in the air. I was driving by Hookipa Beach Park on the north shore of Maui this morning. This is the place I have been surfing for the last 36 years. Yesterday the ocean was flat and glassy. I was able to take a coast run on my stand up surfboard. Today the surf was in the 3ft range and looking pretty good. This is the official announcement of winter. We are currently in our slow season before the winter crowd kicks in.
This is a great time to visit Maui with the beaches pretty quiet and hotels offering great deals. So this is the time we prepare for the winter season. When the weather changes in the northern communities and the chill sets in before the snow. People are looking a head to visit the islands. Already the hotels are booking up and I am feeling we will have a pretty good winter for real estate. So just as birds migrate and bears hibernate so shall the snow birds return. Till then I think I am going to enjoy some of the new swell arriving on Maui’s north shore.Aloha,
