What is happening in the Maui real estate market? I do believe we are seeing prices coming down for Maui homes and condos. Maui has always been a destination for people looking for sun and great beaches. The upper end of the market has slow down, but will survive. Last year was slow with buyers waiting to see prices come down.
Now we are seeing people purchasing new homes and condos. Over the years during slow markets places like Wailea, Kaanapali and Kapalua have always been a great source of continue market share of steady sales. Where there is a will there is a way, the market will continue, as prices have to adjust to the reality of the market. With Short Sales and Bank Sales taking place even in the higher end of the market. This is causing sellers to have to adjust to the new market set by recent sales prices.
