Some designers offer stone or stained concrete floors. This has a very clean flow through out the homes. I am also very fond of exotic hardwood floors; this will capture the feeling of the islands.

The last thing I look for in a luxury north shore home is the bathrooms. Some designers capture the Balinese/Italian look, that less is more with an island flare. I love this approach, it works quite well. Lastly is the landscape, it may be Japanese gardens. I also like the tropical Hana setting, high lighting tropical plants such as Ti leaves in many colors, tropical flowers, monkey pod trees, shower trees that go off in pinks, yellow, and rainbows. So these are the things I look for in a tropical hideaway.
