Winter in Maui
You would think that you are in Truckee, California with this weather. Driving from Haiku this morning it was pounding rain. The surf is blown out but there are still some die hearts out catching some surf. Paia town is raining and the coffee store is jammed with people looking for a hot cup of Joe. Driving towards Kihei it is still raining but there is a break in the clouds. Looking up at the crater for the second day there is more snow on the crater. It has been a few years since I last saw snow on the mountain. So I finally make it to Kihei and it is pouring rain and cold. Its winter on Maui and some times the weather is not perfect or is it. There is something beautiful about a cold winter day in the islands. Wind swept waves and the sugar cane is flowering is a sure sign of winter.
I was talking to a couple from Canada and they were saying the interior was 40 degrees below. I guess rainy Maui is not so bad. So if rainy Maui is appealing and you enjoy cool nights.. Kula Maui real estate might be your option. Winter won’t last, it seems the mainland has been getting pounded with winter storms. It makes me think of deep powder and tree runs for some awesome snowboarding. Not today so we have to go with other options. The wind is cranking so tomorrow its wetsuits and rig up for some windsurfing. Maui’s north shore oceanfront real estate is ideal for north shore water sports. So if you’re looking for Maui real estate for sale on the northshore of Maui the market is ripe for buyers. So for now stay dry and have a great day.
