Many of Maui's windsurfing, and Maui kiteboarding communities love the coastal region of Maui's north shore. Hookipa Beach is the mecca of windsurfing, drawing the worlds best to the point, for some down the line, lip bashing sailing.
Heading down the coast from Kuau, to Spreckelsville, are endless spots to kiteboard or windsurf. Kanaha Beach is a favorite for Maui visitors, you have clean open flat water, then heading out to the reef. Places like Lowers, a long right with 200 yard waves, make it nice for ripping up the surf. There is a nice left that stands up and gets a little more vertical. Uppers heading towards Sprecks stands up and can get really hollow. So if your thinking about windsurfing on Maui, you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for Maui real estate, give me a call. Maui has been my home for over 37 years, or look for me out windsurfing.
