Bad National Housing Market, Not For Maui Condos!

So we are all hearing the doom and gloom right. The sky is falling and the grim reaper is at our doors. Yes the lending institutions are not looking too great. Yes there are way to many foreclosures going on and who the heck is suppose to have set up guide lines with lenders so this isn’t happening.
Okay the good news is Kihei and Wailea Maui Real Estate is still a good buy and here are my reasons. Reason number one is if you need to book a hotel this winter you are looking at $500 a night according to the Maui News. I just tried to book a place for a client and for December it’s booked and the planes are full with tourist. Point two is Maui County just shut down all vacation rentals in the country and oceanfront Wailea, Kihei and northshore Maui ocean front properties.
So all our foreign visitor’s from the mainland, Canada and Europe need places to stay. It’s funny all over the world people travel and stay at B&B’s and vacation rentals. Thank You Maui County, we might lose some of these visitors who are not into hotels or condos.

That leaves condominiums in Wailea, Kihei and Lahaina side the only option for our Maui visitors. This will put more of a demand for vacation rentals on Hotels and condos. This will generate more rental income if you own a condominium. Point number three is the dollar losing strength U.S. travelers are going to stay closer to home and our foreign visitors are looking at Maui Hawaii as a good value. So my point is there is a higher demand for places to stay on Maui and with hotel rates going up Maui condos for sale will be a good value in a lousy National real estate market.
