Median home price falls on Maui
These are statistics from the Honolulu Advertiser this morning that Maui's median price for a single-family home dropped to $644,000, while Maui condo prices hit a six-month high of $590,000 in August. Again with high hotel prices per night and vacation rentals shut down through our the island. Maui condos for sale are sought after. Even though the mainland market is questionable, Maui remains strong.
The median sales price for single-family homes was down from $650,000 in July and $749,500 in August 2006. It also was well below the peak of $780,000 in July 2006, according to the Realtors Association of Maui.
The median sales price for a condo rose from $510,000 in August and $495,000 in August 2006. Condo prices peaked at $649,000 in June 2006 Maui homes for sale values tend to soften this year.
